Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Commercial Planning Manager to join our Manufacturing Department based in Mobile, AL

The Commercial Planning Manager will be responsible for: For the timely issuance of reliable delivery dates/programs in accordance with our contractual obligations; Establishing aircraft delivery programs taking into account inputs from commercial, financial and industrial organizations, but also customer requests; Alerting the commercial Global Account Management (GAM) team each time an aircraft delivery date is endangered. Moreover, the jobholder is responsible for: Bridging industrial and commercial constraints while keeping and/or improving customer satisfaction and managing customer requests in an environment of production ramp-up and lead time reduction and has full authority to monitor customer requests concerning aircraft deliveries.

Your working environmentNearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your Challenges:
  • Be the single voice of the customer in appropriate planning forums, such as Mid-Term Planning Meeting, Planning Alignment Meeting, Operational Control Centre, Skyline meeting, and build a strong commercial guidance towards Operations and Programs concerning non-industrial risks and secured/unsecured delivery volumes by collaborating with our counterparts within Operations, Programs, Quality, Flight Test, Contracts etc.

  • Ensure mutual agreement about contractual/industrial delivery planning dates together with the relevant business partners.

  • Provide accurate data to secure timely official contractual delivery notifications and ensure that contractual requirements will be met. Communicate the delivery notifications to the Sales Contracts Manager (SCM) in charge of the respective customer account.

  • Create and monitor commercial planning scenarios to improve delivery volumes and secure annual/quarterly delivery targets while keeping Airbus' contractual commitments.

  • Contribute to the GAM (Global Account Management) and form relationships with GAM leaders, SCMs and the business unit (BU). Be the focal point within Commercial for all short-term planning subjects.

  • Identify and anticipate any delivery risk (either commercial or industrial) and mitigation solution. Provide a risk picture per customer, aircraft program and delivery site on request and ensure continuous monitoring of the commercial context.

  • Optimize the delivery planning cross-sites and cross-programs in order to anticipate customer constraints.

  • Ensure that our planning tool CASCADE is updated daily and the methods and tools process is followed.

  • Feed the relevant customers with contractual constraints/limitations in order to protect Airbus' interests.

  • Prioritize aircraft due for delivery respecting contractual obligations and the commercial context. Present your commercial guidance to the management community (incl. but not limited to the Final Assembly Line and Program organizations).

  • Manage flexible working hours in line with business requirements.

  • Support the digital transformation strategy of the contracts organization and develop process improvements with regards to the delivery and reporting process.

Your Boarding Pass:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Aviation experience required

  • Preferred experience in Aviation sales

  • Google Suite proficiency;

  • Salesforce proficiency.

  • CASCADE Experience

  • SAP proficiency
